Warm spiced lentils and brisket are topped over french fries with melted cheese curds, and garnished with jalapeno, green onion, and crispy fried lentils.

3 lb (1.5 kg) frozen French fries
2 tsp (10 mL) canola oil
1 lb (500 g) whole green lentils, cooked
1 ½ lb (750 g) brisket, cooked and shredded
2 tsp (10 mL) smoked paprika
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) garlic powder
1 tsp (5 mL) onion powder
½ tsp (2 mL) cumin
½ tsp (2 mL) coriander
½ tsp (2 mL) chipotle powder
¾ cup (375 mL) cheese curds
½ cup (125 mL) pickled jalapeno
½ cup (125 mL) chopped green onion
Optional Garnish:
½ cup (125 mL) split red lentils, fried*
*To make crispy fried lentils> Drop cooked split red lentils into a fryer for 2-3 minutes. Drain well.
