A very simple lentil hummus comes together by pureeing lentils with lemon juice, garlic, salt, tahini, cumin, and canola oil.

1 Tbsp (15 mL) garlic, roughly chopped
1 ½ tsp (7 mL) salt
½ cup (125 mL) tahini
¼ cup (60 mL) ice water
2 cups (500 mL) whole red lentils, cooked and drained well
1 tsp (5 mL) cumin
2 Tbsp (30 mL) canola oil
