1 cup (250 mL) coconut flakes, unsweetened
1/4 cup (60 mL) sunflower seeds, unroasted, unsalted
1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (125 mL) mashed ripe banana, approx. 1 whole
1/2 cup (125 mL) cooked green lentils
3 Tbsp (45 mL) honey
1/4 cup (60 mL) mini chocolate chips, or chopped chocolate
1 Tbsp (15 mL) coconut oil, melted (not hot)
1/2 cup (125 mL) coconut flour
Quick tip: Coconut flour can be found at most bulk food, grocery, or health stores. You can also use almond flour. Stir in enough flour as needed to easily roll the balls. Transform these bites into vegan snacks by using vegan chocolate chips, or omitting altogether.
